Found in magarine and similar fat emulsions for frying purposes

In laboratory tests oxidised and heated (modified) fats fed in very large amounts to rest animals have shown to produce toxic symtoms including liver and thyroid changes and the development of tumours. The minute quantities in food for human consumption are not thought to present any risk.

May be of Genetically modified origin as manufactured from soya.
